Move office. Keep working.

An office move is won or lost weeks before moving day, and the winning move is always the same: order the internet connection first, because it is the longest lead item in the entire project. This page walks you through how we run the IT side of a move so your team packs up on Friday and signs in on Monday, in the new place, as if nothing happened.

The journey

Six phases, one quiet Monday.

The map

Tell us early

Ideally 6 to 8 weeks outNo charge

The moment a new office is likely, even before the lease is signed, tell us. We can check what internet is available at the new address before you commit, which has saved more than one business from signing a lease on a building with a connectivity problem.

What we need from you
  • The address, the target move date, and the floor plan if one exists
  • Who else is involved: fit-out company, movers, landlord
You leave withA connectivity check on the new address and a move-day-driven plan, working backwards.
The rule that saves moves
The internet is ordered before anything else.

Fibre to a new address can take weeks, and a building that needs cabling work can take longer. Every other part of the move can be compressed; this one cannot. So the connection is ordered the moment the lease is certain, and the rest of the plan builds around its delivery date. The full detail lives in the internet connection guide.

Site survey

At the new office

We walk the new site with the floor plan: where people sit, where the comms cabinet lives, what cabling exists and what the fit-out needs to add, and how wifi will cover the space. Cabling requirements go to the fit-out company early, because cores drilled after the carpet goes down cost triple.

What we map
  • Cabling and power: what exists, what the fit-out must add, where
  • Wifi coverage planned for the actual layout
  • The comms cabinet: location, power, ventilation, security

Plan & scoping: the plan and the price

Price is fixed here

The move plan and its fixed price, in writing: what moves, what gets replaced instead of moved, the network build at the new site, and the hour-by-hour plan for the move weekend itself. A move is also the natural moment to retire tired kit rather than pay to relocate it, so the scope shows both options where they exist.

The scope names
  • The new-site network build, itemised
  • Move versus replace, device by device, with costs
  • The move weekend, hour by hour, with a rollback position
  • Who does what: us, the movers, the fit-out, you
What we need from you
  • The go decision on the plan and price
  • The replace-or-move calls where we have flagged a choice

Build the new site

Before moving day

While your team keeps working in the old office, the new one comes alive: connection live, network and wifi installed and tested, meeting rooms working, printers configured. Because your files, email and apps live in the cloud, the heavy lifting is proving the new site, not trucking servers.

What happens
  • Internet live and tested at the new site ahead of the move
  • Network, wifi and meeting rooms built and proven
  • Anything moving physically is labelled and given a destination desk
5

The move weekend

Usually Friday to Sunday

Machines are packed Friday, set up at the new desks, and every seat is tested before Monday: sign-in, wifi, printing, phones, meeting rooms. Whatever surprises the weekend produces, and moves always produce one, get fixed while the office is still empty.

What we need from you
  • Access to both sites across the weekend, and a contact we can reach
  • Desks allocated before Friday, so every machine has a destination
6

The first week

On site with you

We are in the building Monday morning as your team arrives, walking the floor rather than waiting for tickets. The small stuff, a monitor cable here, a printer mapping there, gets fixed at the desk. Then the old site is closed out properly: services cancelled, kit retired securely, nothing left billing you for an office you no longer have.

What happens
  • Floor-walking support on day one, not just a phone number
  • Old-site services cancelled on the right dates
  • Retired kit securely wiped and recycled
The deal

What you can hold us to.

Both ways
What you can expect from us
  • A connectivity check on the new address before you are locked in
  • The new site built and proven before moving day
  • Every seat tested before Monday morning
  • Us in the building on day one, and the old site closed out cleanly
What we ask of you
  • The earliest possible warning, ideally before the lease is signed
  • A desk plan before the weekend, and access across it
  • One decision-maker for the replace-or-move calls

Moving?
Tell us today.

Even if the lease is not signed. Checking connectivity at a new address costs nothing and can save the whole project.

And relax

Getting started is the easy part.

Onboarding without drama

We do the switch: your current provider, the migration, the handover, all of it. Most teams barely notice the cutover happened.

Everything looked after

On the right plan, compliance, reporting and budgets are handled inside the partnership. You run the business; we run the IT underneath it.

Your QBR writes itself

Quarterly business reviews are generated automatically from your live environment: spend, posture, recommendations and roadmap, ready for the board, reviewed with your account manager.

The honest bit: the full looked-after experience comes with the right plan. We charge fairly for what we take on, and when costs step up it's because you are taking on more, always moving in the right direction.
